About Yorton District Community Foundation Funds
Our Funds
Yorkton & District Community Foundation Inc. was founded to bring Yorkton and Regional donors to the table as community builders. the Foundations role is to work closely with such visionary and generous community members to align their philanthropic vision with their local or regional communities needs,
To provide immediate facilitation to those aspirations, the Foundation created a General Fund Pool to immediately build toward community endowment capacity in 6 key area's of identified community need. These funds are collectively identified as Yorkton & District Community Foundation ("YDCF") Funds.
The Foundation is also intended to develop broader, more specific community charitable capacity and action. We do that by enabling individuals, families, businesses, corporations or community groups to easily create community fund initiatives, that contribute to the improvement of our communities in some charitable way. These funds are collectively identified as Named or Designated Funds.
YDCF Funds
Founded in 2019, the citizen working group that established the Yorkton & District Community Foundation consulted with several local community service providers within our region.
Through that process YDCF identified 6 key and essential community fund types that needed to be built. These Funds are open to Community Donation and Contribution at any time and in any amount.
YDCF Named or Designated Funds
Yorkton and Region is filled with people that want to make our communities better, stronger, healthier and more resilient!
Our Foundation is here - to make YOUR dreams or thoughts of building a legacy of kindness, giving and philanthropy. We have helped many in our community bring their philanthropic and charitable goals to reality! We would be honored - to do the same for you.
All of these funds were initiated by members of our local and regional community FOR our communities. In each case, these funds were generously created to address the specific philanthropic or charitable objectives of the donors.
