How Your Charitable giving can endure - forever...

YDCF First Time Chrissie Quine Memorial Trust Grants Awarded

Yorkton and District Community Foundation is pleased to announce the Chrissie Quine Memorial Trust Fund Grant Recipients for 2023.

The Chrissie Quine Memorial Trust was created by a gift from the Estate of long time Yorkton resident Chrissie Quine - to the Rotary Club of Yorkton. Due to the impacts of the pandemic, in June of 2022, the club made the difficult decision to dissolve and cease operations.   The Club needed to find an appropriate charitable body that could continue to honor the requirements of the Trust established by Chrissie Quine.

Yorkton and District Community Foundation is pleased to be able to continue to honor the many years of charitable giving that Chrissie Quine and her established Trust has provided to  Yorkton, Regional and Provincial charitable causes and initiatives.

The following were the 2022 Chrissie Quine Memorial Trust Grant Award Recipients:

  • Make A Wish Foundation - Saskatchewan Chapter: $630.00 (min. req. $210.00) in support of their wish granting and program delivery costs to Saskatchewan residents.

  • SaskAbilities - Camp Easter Seal: $674.80  in support of their delivery of Camp Easter Seals accessible summer camping opportunities.

  • Boys & Girls Club - Yorkton: $674.80 in support of the Yorkton Clubs delivery of Youth development and engagement programming.

“Camp Easter Seal at Manitou Beach is the only fully wheelchair accessible, barrier-free camp in Saskatchewan. Activities such as swimming, boating, rustic camping, performing in the amphitheatre, and connecting with friends throughout the province enable children, youth and adults the opportunity to partake in amazing camping experiences. This contribution continues to be a part of ensuring Camp remains an accessible and inclusive program for generations to come.”

Ian Wilkinson
Executive Director

SaskAbilities

The Chrissie Quine Memorial Trust Fund is just one example of how Yorkton and District Community Foundation and the charitable citizens and groups of Yorkton can work together to continue to build a strong and resilient community.
